Individuals and agencies getting or keeping a Texas public insurance adjuster license must meet TDI’s financial-responsibility rules. 28 TAC § 19.705 calls for a surety bond of not less than $10,000 covering the perils and losses in Insurance Code § 4102.105. TDI’s application checklist wants the applicant named as the only bonded person and Form FIN509 uploaded with a bond copy.
Regulation sets a floor of not less than $10,000. TDI’s licensing materials and Form FIN509 describe a $10,000 bond for this purpose. Do not borrow a different figure from an unrelated adjuster or agency product.
Order a public insurance adjuster bond under the exact name that will appear as the only bonded person on the TDI application. Complete Form FIN509, get the executed bond from an authorized surety, and upload both through Sircon as TDI instructs. Keep the bond active while the license stays active. A lapse or cancel can leave you short of TDI’s financial-responsibility condition. Sync renewals with license status and keep filing copies.

TDI expects Form FIN509 and a copy of the bond. Follow the current TDI application checklist rather than a generic template.
